Step up to the stage

Performance is Everything at Good Vibes Music Academy!

At Good Vibes Music Academy, performance isn’t just something we do—it’s one of our Five Pillars and a core part of what makes a musician. Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time or already rocking the stage, we believe that performing is the ultimate way to build confidence, develop musicianship, and truly experience the joy of music. That’s why we provide some of the best and most exciting performance opportunities around, giving our students real-world experience in front of an audience.

Band Night – March 23rd at The Phoenix Centre

This is it—the first-ever GVMA Band Night! Our bands have been working hard, and now it's time to bring that energy to the stage. This event is exclusively for under-18 bands, giving young musicians a proper gig experience with lights, a full PA, and an audience ready to cheer them on. Band Night is all about collaboration, creativity, and musicality in action. Whether you’re in Band 101 or have formed your own group, this is the perfect chance to show what you’ve got!

Your Space – Monthly Open Mic Night

Your Space is exactly that—YOUR space to get up and play! These relaxed, friendly open mic nights happen every month at GVMA, giving students a chance to perform in an encouraging, low-pressure setting. Whether you're a solo act, a duo, or want to try out a new song with friends, Your Space is the perfect place to gain experience, overcome performance nerves, and share your music with a supportive audience.

Newbury Spring Festival – Taking the Stage in May

We’re incredibly excited to be part of the prestigious Newbury Spring Festival, where our students will have the opportunity to perform alongside some of the best up-and-coming talent in the area. This is a huge chance for young musicians to be part of a major event and showcase their abilities to a wider audience. Stay tuned for more details on how to get involved!

Newbury Christmas Lights Switch-On – Spreading Festive Cheer

Christmas in Newbury isn’t complete without live music, and we’re thrilled to have our students perform at the annual Christmas Lights Switch-On event. This is a fantastic opportunity to play in front of a buzzing crowd and bring some musical magic to the holiday season.

Waterside Centre Events – More Opportunities to Shine

Our partnership with the Waterside Centre means even more opportunities for students to perform in a professional setting. Whether it’s a community event or a live gig, these performances help our students build their confidence and stage presence while being part of something special.

At GVMA, we’re all about real, gold-standard musical experiences, and performance is a huge part of that. If you want to get involved, whether it’s joining a band, signing up for Your Space, or getting ready for the big stage, we’ve got a spot for you. Let’s make music happen!
